Basic Nursing

The Programme forms the basis for the practice of nursing and continuing education in the discipline of nursing.

Basic Midwifery

The Programme is aimed at producing practitioners that are able to make independent judgement, manage normal midwifery and provide family planning services.

Admission Requirements

Possess the senior secondary school certificate (WAEC or NECO), with minimum of Five (5) credits including English Language, Mathematics, Physics, Biology and Chemistry at no more than Two (2) sittings.


Candidates applying for Post Basic Programme must be a qualified registered Midwife or Mental Health Nurse in addition to the above basic requirements.

To Whom it May Concern,

 

Sequel to the expiration of the tenure of the outgoing Provost of the college, the attention of the Governing Council has been drawn to a publication of the extension of the outgoing provost's tenure by the council.

The Governing Council debunks any such extension in view of the fact that the Council has no such statutory powers to approve or extend tenures.

Consequently, the Governing Council hereby calls on the public to disregard such unfounded rumours as it is the figment of the publisher's imagination.
